This organ was a gift from the city of Hamburg to the town of Tangermünde whose principal church suffered a fire in 1617. The organ dates from 1624 and is rare in it's condition and completeness. Fortunately, the old city is high enough above the Elbe that the flood of August, 2002 didn't encroach.
